In the hall of the Nis` Cultural Center, Nis` Health Center in cooperation with City Municipality of Palilula, continued and at the beginning of this year to realize campaign “With knowledge to the health”, in order that more people get informed about way of prevention of major diseases. First lecture from this cycle was related on prevention of colon cancer. Although the audience provided basic information about the diseases, specialists from Nis` Health Center divided and Hem detect tests and instructions for their using as and numerous educational materials.According to Slavoljub Savic, head of Municipal administration associate of Palilula Municipality, practice is that in this discussions – health forums, provide and experts advice to the all who will have any doubts about this disease.

FOR A BETTER LIFE OF SOCIALLY VULNERABLE POPULATON OF PALILULA

City Municipality of Palilula – Nis, in partnership with Center of Social Work “Sveti Sava” in Nis and cooperation with Municipality of Kustendil (Bulgaria) successfully realizing one – year project “Strengthening of Municipal capacity to improve the quality of life for socially vulnerable groups” from program EXCHANGE 3. In the opinion of press conference participants, organized in Nis` Media Center, the last two months activity for the realization of the project, drew great public attention. Implementation of the project started by signing contract 24th of September 2010. in Belgrade in organization of Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and after forming of mobile teams and preparatory activities on the ground, it started with realization of program.

In the process of making the Local Plan of the Fight against Corruption (LPFC) in the City Municipality of Palilula was held presentation and conversation about draft of Local Plan of the Fight against Corruption of the City of Nis and it was promoted activity of the Palilula Municipality in this area. On the draft of Local Plan of the Fight against Corruption of the City of Nis spoke: Pavle Dimitrijevic, Executive Director of the Bureau for Social Researches; Biljana Jovanovic, member of City Council and Coordinator of Working Group; Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, President of the CM Palilula and Zoran Gavrilovic, Program Director “Society Against Corruption”Bureau of Social Researches (BIRODI), with financial support of USAID and the Institute for Sustainable Communities

In the first week of New 2011 year, multidisciplinary mobile teams of City Municipality of Palilula, who realizing project “Strengthening of Municipal capacity to improve the quality of life for socially vulnerable groups”, will help social vulnerable, old and infirm persons, children, disabled and person of third age who are immobile and dependent of others people` help as follows: Tuesday, 4th of January in local offices “9. Maj” and “Cokot”, Wednesday, 5th of January in local offices “Crvena Zvezda” and “Palilula” and Thursday 6th of January, mobile teams of the project will be in the Mramor and Krusce, from 09am to 02pm.Social-vulnerable residents of Palilula can get needed information of using of free services of mobile teams of project on phone number 018/244-587 or in their local offices.
